In addition to the above memorandum, Colonel Do Minh,
Chief of Military Security Service,
was arrested by military intelligence officers
under President Diem.
This arrest was carried out on the
orders of the Chief of Staff, General Khanh,
and was intended to remove
Do Minh from the group suspected by
Diem to be in conspiracy to the
plot to overthrow him such as by
General Tran Van Don.
