MEMORANDUM FOR THE RECORD
SUBJECT: Telephone Conversation between AMBEND-1 and Martin Ferrer
DATE: 9 April 1964
1. AMBEND-1 will obtain the address of the Tampa barge today and call our office. AMBEND-1 is departing for Nicaragua on 10 April via LACSA at 0730.
2. Manuel Hernandez has gone to Panama and should have returned to Costa Rica by now. AMBEND-1 will report on Hernandez' findings upon his arrival in Costa Rica.
3. AMBEND-1 told not to forget the budget before his departure. The weekly charter payment to Talaris for the C-47 is due this week.
4. AMBEND-1 will send a letter to Carrillo stating he would like to charter a C-47. Carrillo will then write back saying that he has a C-47 available. AMBEND-1 hopes that this exchange between Carrillo and AMBEND-1 will culminate in the C-47 being based in Panama.
5. The undersigned asked AMBEND-1 if he had his 10 gallons to be used for the operation. AMBEND-1 stated he does have them.
6. AMBEND-1 was requested to send the list of those expelled.
7. AMBEND-1 should make certain that the Nicaraguan Consulate in New York is alerted to the heavy equipment shipment, and the Consulate stamped the documents.
8. After signing the Liberia contract General Somoza should mail the contract to the Liberia people.
9. AMBEND-1 was advised that Somoza should now be working on the registration of the DOLEMS.
10. AMBEND-1 would appreciate AMBEND-1 following up on his visa which is pending.
11. The following was passed to AMBEND-1 concerning the village radios: Will arrive in Miami, 125 boxes on 10 April, for air pickup at 0930, Miami International, 135-10743. Consignee: Consolidated Electrical Distributors, 4000 N. Congress. Consignor: Consolidated Electrical Distributors, 4000 N. Congress. Consolidated Electrical Distributors is to be advised to pick up the radios. No. 20743.
