BRIEFING of Russell E. SANBORA in Washington, D.C., 16 June 1964

SUBJECT: Embezzlement of Funds by Mario Delgado Sequeira

1. Sanbora reported that Delgado, who is the head of logistics in Costa Rica, was accused of embezzling $7,000 from AMWORLD. A/1 conducted a personal investigation of the case. The final outcome of the case: he was asked to make restitution out of his salary until the entire amount had been repaid.

2. This case in point was brought up by Sanbora to illustrate that A/1 spends a great deal of his time on relatively minor tasks which could easily be delegated to someone else.
