SUBJECT: Opinions about Manuel ARTIME Buesa's TV appearance on Sunday, 29 Mar 64.

1. Marcel RODRIGUEZ Menendez, M.D.C. Executive:
ARTIME showed true leadership qualities. It was a blessing for lawyers when he referred to the 1940 constitution. He was very good when he said that he was for unity and called all Cubans to war without making any differences among them for their tendencies.

2. José Antonio VAZQUEZ (name unk.), Miami News distribution manager, attorney, and owner in Oriente province:
ARTIME is a fake and an egotist, but he is a genius in politics. He scored a win when he said that he did not have time to answer on a political basis because they were at war. RAY and ARTIME are fighting for their future in Cuba. They must be left alone until the Cuban problem is solved because I don't know which of the two is worse.

3. Angel MARTINEZ Rolo, member of the D.R.E.:
ARTIME is a "yes man" who does not have his own opinion about what he wants and he unconditionally subjected to the "dollars" without caring for anything else. The D.R.E. has something pending with ARTIME because on one occasion, prior to the Bay of Pigs invasion, he took over a base which the D.R.E. had in Puerto Rico.

4. Rafael MARTOR Morales, president of "Fumero" sugar mill, resides at 3670 SW 25th St., Miami:
ARTIME was very good. The people liked him as they think he will lead them to war and that is what everyone wants. His statements about the 1940 Constitution were very good.

5. Francisco MARTINEZ, newspaperman:
ARTIME is the man chosen by the C.I.A. to solve the internal problem in Cuba and open the doors for an invasion.
