ARNOLD Meeting in [redacted], 7-8 June 1964

SUBJECT: Purchase of House

1. I asked ARNOLD-1 about rumors that he has bought a house in Miami and he admitted the fact without any show of confirmation.

2. He claimed to have sunk his savings from the "Bay of Pigs" honorarium into the acquisition, i.e., $3,000; to have borrowed money from ARNOLD-2, [redacted], and [redacted] had also chipped in to the tune of $1,500. I did not delve into the financial aspects of the transaction. ARNOLD-1 claims that the house where he now lives with subject has been registered in the name of [redacted]. He mentioned in passing that a house might come in handy if his parents should be permitted to emigrate to the United States.
