12. We asked Subject whether or not he was acquainted with any individual belonging to the Cuban military. He could supply no significant names or information in this sphere. He did advise us that a potential source for this type of information was one Eloy GUTIERREZ Menoyo. According to Subject, GUTIERREZ was formerly a Cuban army officer and would have many contacts in this area. As an aside, Subject stated that GUTIERREZ had supplied weapons to Field CASTRO during the 1956-57 period through an individual who he knew only as (first name) GONZALEZ. GONZALEZ apparently in turn obtained the weapons from an (first) SAGARO who was a resident of Santiago de Cuba. Of even more interest, Subject stated that GONZALEZ was, during this same period, in contact with Otto SKORZENY in Madrid and Belgium. Subject could only add he remembered where he had heard this information and in Madrid and Brussels, Belgium, during this period. It is felt that this recall has been told several years ago that SKORZENY was of operational importance to KUBARK. As we remember, SKORZENY was at that time suspected or purported to be the key figure in a Communist/KGB illegal funding apparatus. We will check with the CI Staff, WE, and EE, in order to determine whether further information on SKORZENY's alleged activities was ever developed.

13. Paul RODRIGUEZ Feo is, according to Subject, a professional in the Cuban foreign service. Subject does not know for certain where RODRIGUEZ is presently stationed but suspects he is in Habana, abroad. RODRIGUEZ is a good friend of Subject and has wide and Subject-wide has known Mrs. RODRIGUEZ since both were small children. He and Subject attended the same secondary schools in Santiago La Grande, and probably would cooperate in any anti-Castro activity KUBARK might ask of him.

14. Carlos LAO was born about 1923 in Cuba and is a Certified worked together in attempting to overthrow the Batista regime. LAO defected to the United States from Cuba in October 1952 and now lives in Willmar, Minnesota. Subject volunteered LAO's name as an individual who knows everybody of any significance in Holguin, Cuba, and the surrounding area.
