In accordance with the policy of this agency, it is understood and agreed by me that I will be required to serve a minimum period of two years (two years) of duty served at any overseas post of duty, unless terminated by the Government for its convenience. In the assignment is terminated at my request in less than two years, four months, the following shall prevail: (a) If I resign in less than twelve months from the date of my arrival at my overseas post of duty, I shall reimburse CIA for all travel expenses incurred in the transportation of myself, my immediate family, household goods, and personal effects and automobile to the foreign station, and pay all such expenses for return to the United States; (b) If I resign between the twelfth and twenty-fourth month from the date of my arrival at my overseas post of duty, I shall pay all expenses for the travel and transportation of myself, my immediate family, household goods, and personal effects and automobile to the United States. 2. Part 1(a) above shall not apply to employees who have served in a permanent position with CIA or who have served an overseas tour of duty with CIA, and in such cases part (b) only shall apply. I further agree that if I terminate my contract to return to the United States at my own expense before the expiration of two years from the date of my arrival at an overseas post of duty, I shall pay all expenses for the travel and transportation of myself, my immediate family, household goods, and personal effects to the United States.
